Following an initial Cost of Living Alliance event the BD Collective is working in partnership with the council to shape three important strategies, some of which have funding attached:

  • Cost of Living
  • Health Inequalities
  • Hardship

Organisations who would like to be part of shaping models to tackle any of these issues are invited to join an online briefing between 12-2pm on 3rd August.

Cost of Living

A community-based locality infrastructure model with a focus on short-term crisis intervention as well as building longer term community resilience

Health Inequalities

A cross-sector approach to enable and empower people, reducing health inequalities through community leadership

Three strands:

A locality model, which will be aligned with the Cost-of-Living locality team with a focus on building community-infrastructure to support access, referrals and build resilience in people

Tackling low-level emerging mental health issues in children and young people, using a participatory grant-making process. It will enhance work already started in the North Locality in B&D

Community-led support for people with NRPF: understanding and connecting into existing places.

Hardship

Supporting the council to explore how to support the most vulnerable people in our borough.
