Youth Spot Bar C.I.C is a Community Interest Company formed in 2018. We operate as a Youth Centre Activity Hub using indoor and outdoor areas where we are committed to improving the lives of individuals and families within our community for those aged 8-25years. One of our aims is to make a positive social impact by fostering community cohesion between diverse groups through Sports, Arts & Craft, Music & Dance and community led projects that focuses on building sustainability within the areas of Barking and Dagenham.

From January 13th 2022 we will be operating at the Relish Bar Restaurant in Barking a Healthy Smoothie Bar for residents while delivering sport activities and social hub sessions. The Smoothie Bar will be offering residents, especially children and young people a DIY service where they can walk in and learn to make their own healthy smoothie while taking out one of our sports equipment for a short play time.

We are currently based in the Borough of Barking and Dagenham in which we operate.

Since BD_Collective was established, it was agreed that around 40% of the £100,000 grant from Barking & Dagenham Council would be used for ‘development’. This now makes up the ‘network pot’ and we will use the ‘Open Collective’ platform to distribute funds. This is a public platform and available for anyone to view.

The BD_Collective Leadership Teams have agreed the criteria and process for sign off which is detailed in this pdf: Network-Pot-distribution-Nov-22
