After two years of incubation within BD Giving, we’re seeking a visionary leader to take BD Collective to the next level and help transition it into a strong, independent organisation, and build a team who embodies our core principles to Connect, Collaborate and Change.
You’ll bring strategic thinking, operational expertise, and a passion for community-led impact, with a proven ability to navigate complexity, build trust across diverse stakeholders, and turn ambition into action. Committed to equity and participation, you’ll thrive in ambiguity and inspire a team to deliver bold, member-driven change.
Salary: £45,000–£50,000

About BD Collective

BD Collective is a social infrastructure organisation dedicated to strengthening the voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector in Barking and Dagenham. We create the space for people to connect together, collaborate, and build a better future—bringing people together to imagine bold solutions and challenge the systems that hold us backk.
Originally founded as a network of networks, we’ve evolved into a member-led Co-operative CIC, where our community collectively shapes priorities, decisions, and resources through democratic governance. In the past year alone, we’ve facilitated over £2.5 million in collaborative funding and built active networks across the borough. Now, we’re entering a new phase of growth—and we need a Strategic Director to lead us forward.
