Who are Ab Phab?
Ab Phab Youth Club are an inclusive youth club for young people aged 11 – 25 years with disabilities based in Dagenham. We work with a wide range of disabilities and mental health conditions. Members can attend the youth club up until their 26th birthday.
We began in in September 1997 for disabled young people and their siblings after young people said they had no place they could socialise in the evenings.
Ab Phab strongly believe that all disabled children and young people in Barking and Dagenham should be able to express what they want and are offered opportunities to be involved in decision making, resulting in their voices being listened to and acted on.
We pride ourselves on our staff members and volunteers who go above and beyond for our young people and really understand their individual needs.
Our staff are trained in different areas such as Safeguarding, Epilepsy, First Aid, Makaton, TEACCH and much more. This means all of our staff bring different skills to support our young people.
