We are a few weeks on from the brilliant and inspirational session we shared to see if we could find common cause, and mutual strength in a shared aim for tackling social isolation.

The slides from the session, along with some of the outputs from the discussions are attached. In the slide pack, we have also tried to summarise one of the big ideas which emerged from the discussions about what a borough approach could look like and what we might be aiming at. Obviously, this is all very early stage and tentative at the current time.

We are also working to add the mapping work we did together into a simple mapping tool to show what this might look like. We will have that finalised before the next workshop below so we can use it as a starting point for further work and a broader collaboration.

We discussed that the first workshop was the starting point for us to think more deeply about how we can work together. So now, to move the conversation forward, we propose to hold another design workshop to progress some ideas. The time and date for this workshop is 11am-2pm, 6th July. Sign up on Eventbrite.

In doing so we would like to invite anyone who would like to be part of the planning team for the next session to meet up 10am-12pm on Thursday 30th June at EveryOne’s Warehouse at 47 Thames Road to collaborate in the design and delivery of this workshop – setting aims and designing approaches together.

Please put the 6th July in your diaries, and contact nat@participatorycity.org foundation If you would like to join the planning session on the 30th.

Please note as before: attendees will be recompensed for their time as required.
