TWCP are having a busy time!
As well as the Wellbeing Navigators Programme, there is going to be a series of Fire Safety Workshops in conjunction with the British Red Cross. The Community Resilience team, local London Fire Brigade, Barking Reach Residents’ Association, and Thames Ward Community Partnership (TWCP) and Barking community are coming together to co-produce a community fire safety action plan across a series of workshops starting in October. Creative Wellness – Womens Walking Club – the club walks different routes every week Monday 6pm to 7:30pm, departing from Rivergate centre, Barking. IG11 0FJ. The weekly challenge is to do 10,000 steps or more. You can complete the challenge in a week with the other members or with your family at your own pace. Join here.
Creative Wellness – Womens Cycling Club – club rides are every Wednesdays 6 – 8pm, and Saturdays 10-12pm, departing from Rivergate centre, Barking IG11 0FJ, to suit all abilities. A bicycle, lock, helmet, and cycling jacket can be provided to members dependent on availability. Join here.
Healthy Thames Working Group Workshop – Friday 17th September, 5-7.30pm. Location: Sue Bramley Centre, Bastable Avenue, Barking IG11 0LH. Join in as we create a working group made up of people invested in the local area. We will workshop and create a shared vision for Thames residents, to make it a healthier place to live and work. This is to continue the work of transforming this part of the borough to co-create a new model of care, where local people can have a say. Register by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
